70th Anniversary Celebration Planned for 2011
Cars cost $925, an average house could be had for around $6,900 and the annual average income was just over $2,000. It was 1941, and much of the world was already engaged in history's deadliest war.
It wasn't all bad news though, as Fayetteville Boys & Girls Club opened their doors to serve Fayetteville's 8,212 citizens. Just in time too, as the city's population would balloon to over 17,000 by the end of the decade.
Friends and alumni of the Boys & Girls Club can relive the memories and join in the fun during 70th Anniversary Celebrations throughout 2011. Watch for upcoming anniversary announcements.
